I had a practical stay at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane. The location is convenient, right by the business center and just across from Bord Gais Theatre, making it ideal for shows. My room was clean and spacious, although I did experience some noise from other guests late at night. The friendly staff and a rich breakfast helped make up for it, even if the breakfast area got a bit crowded. Overall, I found my trip to be quite enjoyable, with a few minor hitches.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the business area and just a short walk from nice restaurants along the quay. It’s also across the road from the theatre, which was perfect for my plans.

Breakfast was plentiful with good options, though it got crowded in the dining area at peak times. I enjoyed my meals but wished there were more vegetarian options available.

The pool, jacuzzi, and steam room were great for relaxation, but I had to deal with some annoying noise and guests not respecting quiet areas, especially in the spa.

My stay at Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane was quite mixed. The location is fantastic, with a lovely walk beside the Grand Canal and plenty of nearby bars and eateries. I enjoyed the spacious room, but the service during dinner was disappointing. Breakfast had a great selection, but I found the quality of the cooked items lacking.

My stay at Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane had its ups and downs. While I found the staff welcoming and the breakfast selection impressive, I was disappointed with the overall cleanliness and a few amenities that didn't meet the four-star standard. The construction noise was also a significant downside during my visit.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean, with a comfy double and single bed. However, some amenities felt lacking, like the absence of a mini fridge.
Service

Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Anthony who served our meals. Still, a few staff members seemed rude or struggled with communication.

Breakfast had a fantastic variety, including options for gluten-free diets. However, I wish there were more vegetarian choices available as standard.
Facilities

The spa facilities were decent, but cleanliness issues were concerning, especially in the steam room and pool area. I also found the towels at the pool quite small.

I had a lovely stay at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane in Dublin. The location was fantastic, close to the city center and easily accessible to local attractions. However, my room felt a bit tired and could use some refurbishment. Overall, I enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and great service.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean and spacious, but it needed some updating. I had trouble with a broken window upon arrival, which took some time to fix. While the beds were incredibly comfortable, the lack of consistent replenishment of amenities like mugs and tea bags was a downside.
Service
10.0
The reception staff was very welcoming, and the cleaning team did their best to ensure a pleasant experience. The dining staff provided excellent service both during breakfast and dinner, making my meals enjoyable.
Location
10.0
I loved the hotel's location in the booming Docks area. It was a short walk to the city center and near the Grand Canal, making it perfect for evening strolls. I also appreciated the convenience of hop-on hop-off bus stops nearby.
Dining
8.0
I had dinner in the hotel restaurant, which was delicious and offered swift service. However, I did notice a lack of vegetarian options, which could have improved the dining experience. Breakfast had a great selection though, and the scrambled eggs were a bit mushy.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel has some handy facilities like room service and laundry, which I appreciated. However, the pool area was smaller than expected for a hotel with many guests, making it less enjoyable during peak times.
